QUALITY CONTROL

The quality control sector of Metalna Senovo participates in the demand phase, review of incoming documentation and suitability of products for our production process. It plays a decisive role in the production process, as well as in ensuring the conformity of the finished products, and completes the handover documentation. The control department is divided into engineering control, welding control, and subsequently into ingoing, interphase and final control, as well as direct investigations. For this purpose, we provide an adequate number of qualified and certified controllers. The control plan covers control of the manufacturing process, as well as dimensional and unyielding control of semi-finished products and products. Compliance is determined on the basis of currently valid standards, requirements on plans, internal instructions and other regulations.

DIMENSIONAL CONTROL

Measuring equipment by Hexagon

Measuring arm Romer Absolute Arm 85;
Reach and percision: D-2,5 m / 0,030 mm

Measuring system Leica Laser Tracker AT403;
Range and percision: D-320 / *loss of percision 0,016 mm by every meter

Independent control of dimensions and geometric tolerances, with or without a CAD model and developed standard programs and detailed and transparent reports, enables control over the entire process – ingoing control, measurement of jigs or clamps, control of welded products before, during and after machining and quality control in the field, for example on an installation of hydromechanical equipment.

VI

VISUAL INSPECTION

Visual inspection (VI) includes inspection of incoming material, cut and prepared positions, control of composition and welds of assemblies, and final inspection of welding compounds, anti-corrosion protection and suitability of products for shipment. In these cases, we use appropriate criteria and other tools that ensure the high-quality implementation of the procedure.

MAGNETIC INSPECTION

When inspecting surfaces and welding joints with magnetic particles (MI), we use the black-white procedure and inspection with fluorescent agents and ultraviolet light. The basis of both methods is the application of ferromagnetic particles to the investigated surface and magnetization with a magnetic yoke. The adequacy of the means we use is checked in advance with the prescribed criteria and standards. The implementation of the control, as well as the evaluation of the results, is carried out in accordance with the prescribed standards.

PI

PENETRANT INSPECTION

Penetrant testing (PI) is suitable for detecting indications on weld joints, indications on the surface of products, and it is also suitable for determining the tightness of products. The penetrant system consists of several components namely: surface preparation cleaner, penetrant, penetrant remover and developer. We determine the choice of penetrants and developers according to the results we expect. The advantage of penetrant inspection is that it allows inspection of various materials, even those that are not ferromagnetic.

ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION

Ultrasonic examination (UE) is a method of controlling materials and safe compounds, which enables the detection of indications or irregularities in the interior of the material. For the method, we need an ultrasound machine in a set of different ultrasound heads. The procedure is based on the principle of high-frequency sound waves passing through materials and on the physical principle of reflection of these waves at the boundaries of materials of different densities. The scope of UE control is very wide, and the advantage of the method is that it can be used to detect indications within the materials.

UE

LT

LEAKAGE TEST

Leakage test (LT) is intended for closed elements where we do not want the medium to pass from the inside to the outside or vice versa. We usually ensure the appropriate pressure in the elements (media can be different: air, water…) and then from the outside we usually check the tightness of the element with soapy water.
