Only barrels that have a top edge that the jaws of the tongs can rest on can be lifted with the tongs (the friction between the tongs and the barrel may be too low to lift smooth, rimless barrels).
The tongs are equipped with an automatic lock, which enables the barrel to be gripped and released just by lowering and raising the hook, without direct intervention by the worker.
The working range is between 630 and 710 mm. The entire structure was anti-corrosion protected with a primer and final coating, some small parts are galvanized.
